Motion control sizing calculators

Use transparent, browser-based calculations to prepare an enquiry. Every tool includes its method, units, an illustrative worked example and the checks it leaves unresolved.

Use the tools in the selection sequence

Start with the mechanism and the movement required. Identify the operating points, force or torque and time spent at each condition. Use the tools to understand individual relationships before selecting a product from the catalogue. A result with the right units is not automatically a complete design.

For a repeating servo duty, combine the known motor-shaft torques using the RMS tool. For a reduction gearbox, explore speed, estimated torque and reflected load inertia. For a screw-driven actuator, estimate one upward motoring load case and the screw torque and speed associated with it.

Keep the assumptions with the result

Replacing an example value with a guessed efficiency or load does not make the calculation verified. Include the source of your inputs and identify uncertain figures when sending an enquiry. Manufacturer curves, mechanical ratings, installed cooling, life and the complete machine requirements still need checking.

Tools do not require an account and make no AI calls. Calculation inputs remain in the browser until you choose to add them to an enquiry and submit your contact details. The examples are hypothetical, not customer projects or engineer endorsements.
